Petrol AD is a joint stock company with subject of activity being storage, transportation, and sale of fuels. Petrol AD has adopted a two-tier management system with a Management Board and a Supervisory Board.

In its activity the management of Petrol AD follows the adopted Program for implementation of the internationally recognized standards for good corporate governance, which is created in accordance with the Corporate Governance Code, adopted by the Board of Directors of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange – Sofia AD, the internationally recognized standards for good corporate governance, the current Bulgarian commercial legislation, the Articles of Association of Petrol AD and the Rules for work of the management and control bodies of the company. The management team believes that compliance with the highest standards of corporate governance is essential for maintaining the reputation and success of Petrol AD and to maintain the excellent outcomes of its business activities.
The Good Corporate Governance Program has been approved by the Management Board and its implementation is controlled by the Supervisory Board of Petrol AD. The program aims to ensure equal treatment of shareholders and investors of the company and protection of their rights and interests, to ensure timely and accurate disclosure of all significant issues related to the company’s activities, as well as to ensure effective communication between the management of Petrol AD on the one hand, and its shareholders and potential investors on the other.
The actions of the management board are aimed at establishing principles and strategies for good corporate governance and increasing the trust of the stakeholders, namely shareholders, investors and contractors.
